This office is in receipt of number of queries on conduct of Class X examination during the year 2010-11.  While taking the options of students for writing the examination – external /internal and the consent of the parents, it has been revealed that some of the parents and students desire to take Board conducted external examination.

The CBSE has issued number of Circulars in which it has been clarified regarding conduct of the Class X examination vide their Circular No. CBSE/CU/143-online dated 30.8.2010 and CBSE/Cons/2010/4241-4270 dated 6th Sept., 2010.  The CBSE has made very clear that the school shall not discriminate between candidates opting for school conducted SA2 or Board conducted SA2 in Class X for admission in Class XI.

The students who wishes to join other than CBSE Board will take Board conducted external examination and leave the Vidyalaya so as to join any other examination Board other than CBSE, which means that these students preferably to join any State Board of Class XI & XII..

Since our Vidyalayas are having Class XI & XII, the students need not take Board conducted external examination and they can take school conducted internal examination such that hey will continue in Class XI in the same Vidyalaya.

It is also to be informed to all the students that CBSE vide circular dated 6.9.2010 in which it has been informed that Board conducts Proficiency Test for Class X for all the five main subjects.  The Vidyalaya should inform to all the students that this Proficiency Test is of much importance and students can excel in the Proficiency Test in terms of the grades which will have a qualitative impact.
