As the fearful examinations come to a halt, students look forward to the much awaited “creative outlets”, the scout camp. to let off steam and spend their April month. A scout camp is organized over a short period of two to three hours involving intersing and fun-filled activities which include making food, tea, reative games, some activities for uneducated people etc. not oly this, the scout camp keep the child or us “ fit as a fiddle” by imparting lessons of helping other, how to work in team, making positive attitude and how to develop our personality.
In our school on 19th April 2010, also a scout camp was conducted for hiking outside of school and learning about nature and its beauty by going closer to them. This is a practical art to survive with a minimal resources and group effort. It was very fine day all the scouts collected in the morning. After formal counting duty we headed towards the Rupond railway station with three escorts viz Mr Y. Verma (Scout Master) Mr. Anil Shrivastav and Mr. Y. Veeralingam. We started our journey at early morning 6:00 am. Before proceeding our principal Mrs. S. P. Dubey came to visit us and given lot of wishesh for going safly and conducting a good camp. At 7:30 o’clock we reached to Rupond station which is very beautiful and pleasant place. First we raised our tent and after that we prepared a tea for whole scout and escorts. Tea have been served in hand made leaf utencil. The utencil are made by pircing with nails. After getting fresh scouts prepared poha, it was very nice, each and every student enjoyed the natural made poha. Sourrounding people were gazing at us and our activities. We enjoyed the team work, each and every member has got some different responsibilities. After the completion of camp we folded our tent and cleaned the surrounding as it was earlier and proceeded toward vidyalaya campus.
Really it was a very memorable and funfilled activity. We hope more such activity will be organized for all the student. It gives a fresh look to the nature from monotonus environment and filled us with energy.
